She didn't set out to become a coach.

She learned to survive being everything to everyone, figured out how to stop performing, and told a few friends along the way.

Meet Anita

Anita Tillman started her career as an electrical engineer. Not a life coach. Not a speaker. An engineer in rooms full of people who didn't look like her, solving problems and showing up with technical competence so unquestionable that her presence in those rooms needed no explanation.

She learned early what a lot of over-performing women learn early: if you're going to be in the room, you'd better be the most prepared person in it, so she was. Every time.

What she didn't learn — what nobody teaches you — is what happens when you've been the most prepared, most capable, most relied-upon person in every room for twenty years and you still don't feel like enough. When the career is built, and the businesses are running, and the people around you are taken care of, and you sit down at the end of a day that looked successful from the outside and feel completely hollow on the inside.

That feeling has a name, and it isn't ‘weakness.’

The Career Nobody Puts on a Straight Line

From engineering to entertainment. From faith-based organizations to government consulting. From boardrooms to stages to strategy sessions with elected officials, Anita's career has never followed a straight line, and she has never apologized for that.

Every pivot taught her something. Every room she walked into, as the only one who looked like her, sharpened something. Every time she was handed more than she should have been carrying and carried it anyway, she was building a body of knowledge that no certification could have given her, but she was also building a load.

That load — the invisible accumulation of roles and responsibilities and expectations and performances and silent sacrifices — eventually demanded her attention. After getting fired from her six-figure government job, she didn’t have a dramatic breakdown, but instead left with a quiet, persistent question she couldn't ignore anymore:

I built my life around being everything to everyone, but what do I do now that I’m no longer needed, and what do I want to do with the rest of my life?

That question is where the Leave Light™ framework was born.

What She Built on the Other Side of That Question

Anita didn't walk away from her career. She walked toward herself and brought everything she'd built with her.

She founded AMCorp International, a consulting firm specializing in Strategic Communication, Leadership, Public Affairs, and
Crisis Management— with a particular focus on municipal clients and the leaders navigating the impossible task of doing more with less. She earned an Executive Program certification in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. She became a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses alumna. She advised mayors, designed solutions, and helped organizations move through change without losing themselves in the process.

By diving in to help others, she became the coach she wished she'd had.

Through her personal brand and the Leave Light™ framework, Anita works with over-performing women who are exhausted from succeeding. She helps them separate their identity from their performance, name what they're actually carrying, and build a path forward that doesn't require them to disappear in the process.

She wrote the books, built the programs, and took the stage not because she had it all figured out, but because she'd been through enough of it to be honest about what it actually takes.

What She Brings to Every Room

Whether Anita is keynoting a conference of thousands, crafting narratives for cities in a crisis, or working one-on-one with a woman who hasn't said out loud yet what she's about to say — Anita brings the same thing:

The ability to name the thing nobody else in the room will say and the framework to do something about it.

She is not here to hype you up; she is here to help you get clear.

For the Woman Considering Working With Her

You don't have to have it figured out before you reach out. You just have to be done carrying it alone.

For the Event Planner Considering Booking Her

Your audience doesn't need another speaker who tells them they can do hard things. They already know that. They've been doing hard things their whole lives.

They need someone who sees them clearly, names what they've been carrying, and hands them something they can actually use when they leave the room.
